How to add new friend

You do not add friends in the game. You add on the platform you connect, Game Center, FaceBook or Google Play

Game Center, add email or phone number to your contacts and then you can add them on GC. It may take a month or four or not work at all. Apple have neglected and downgraded GC so it barely works. And yes you need to have new friends in your contacts now as they removed the feature of using game names - DO NOT ADD FRIENDS FOR GAME CENTER HERE as that would include PERSONAL PRIVATE INFORMATION posted to a world wide open forum and that would not be safe for you or them

Face Book, add friends on FB- There are closed groups where you can ask for friends on FB- Search Sims FreePlay Groups and find one that will suit you.  That is the safest way to find FB friends. This is the ONLY option for Kindle Fire Players

Make sure you have your permissions set to Friends or All - if it is on only me, your neighbours can not see you, if you can not see them: ask them to check their privacy settings for the game in FB settings apps and web sites

For android players, you can add friends with gametags or game names in GooglePlay  but it works as well as GC or shall I say as badly as GC? You might see them in a week, six month or never
