This update celebrates The Sims™ 25th Birthday by taking players back to the year 2000—a time of buttoned phones, cafe meetups, and the rise of reality TV. Most notably, it was the era when the plumbob made its debut, and Sims first greeted us with a cheerful “Sul Sul!” In this nostalgic update, your Sims can immerse themselves in Y2K cafe culture, serve cappuccinos, design a classic studio apartment, and even star in the hit reality show, ‘Reality Island’. The early 2000s vibe is all here, ready to relive. 25 Days of Gifts To mark The Sims™ 25th Birthday, players can enjoy 25 days of daily in-game gifts! Beginning February 4th, a new reward will appear in your inbox each day—available for just 24 hours—so don’t miss out. Long-time fans may even spot some familiar items from The Sims legacy. Additionally, visit ‘The Sims FreePlay Museum’ in ‘Another SimTown’ via the Party Boat to explore a collection of unique items from previous updates—a true celebration of FreePlay history. What’s New in This Update SimChase Season 83: ‘The One with the Coffee Shop’ Step back to the early 2000s as your Sim starts a cafe job and takes on rival barista, Buffy Buffet. Compete in challenges to unlock cafe essentials like vintage coffee machines, cookie displays, and grilled cheese toasters—everything your Sim needs to create a bustling cafe straight out of Y2K. Live Event: ‘My First Apartment’ Design the ultimate first apartment, complete with dartboards, table tennis tables, and quirky art pieces reminiscent of a classic 2000s sitcom. Earn rewards like colorful wall designs, retro TVs, and an entire Y2K-themed apartment house lot. Influence Island Season 60: ‘Reality Island’ Reality TV was all the rage in the 2000s, and now your Sim has a chance to shine! Influence fellow contestants to win iconic Y2K prizes like transparent phones, neon computers, tracksuits, and oversized sunglasses. Additional Highlights SimChase Season 84: ‘Family Funtime’ Earn cozy and functional items for your Sims, including toddler and adult outfits, nursing chairs, retro cradles, toy chests, and more. Can’t finish leftover tasks and no deadline extension is available
I can’t finish my leftover tasks on Forest Flat as they are greyed out. Johnny Zest isn’t available, and it is not giving me the option to buy a deadline extension. I need to complete this development to progress to another level. I’ve tried everything.
A Claus for reunion: can’t watch next season with santa (The sims free play)
I’m facing a problem that Santa keeps running away during the task causing that I can’t finish this task. My sims already done it for three times (completing it alone by watching but I can’t hit the requirement😢) and this is the fourth time I try with restarting my device but it’s still the same. This update coincides with the game’s 13th Birthday, Simsmas, the new year, and more, providing much to anticipate. A key feature of this release is the reimagined Simsmas quest ‘A Claus for Reunion’. In this event, your Sim will have the opportunity to reconcile Santa and Santa Sr., with assistance from Mrs. Claus and Cirrus the meteorologist. Additionally, the theme of this update centers around the concept of returning home, inspired by films such as ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ and ‘The Holiday’. Your Sim can explore their past, experiencing what it feels like returning home. From renovating their childhood residence into a British Tudor mansion to competing in the SimTown Bake Off, where they will aim to impress both the judges and their rival, renowned TV Chef Amy Joliver. Watch as your Sim transitions from an unknown visitor to a celebrated figure in SimTown. The developers are trying something new with Influence Island events ‘Make the Yuletide Glam’ and ‘Lullaby Loft’. They know you have a lot to do during the holidays, so they are shortening these from 10 to 5 days, inducing a range of prizes, and balancing changes.
