I cannot do get my sim to cry to be picked up

I cannot get my sim to cry to be picked up pls help. Many thanx

      @Michelle90201

      Make sure the baby sim is the one that is slected (has the plumb bob over his head). The click on an adult sim. You should get a selection "cry for sim."
