Objects not appearing to purchase even though quests were completed

I also play SFP on the kindle fire hdx. I played the gingerbread quest a while back. The spiral staircase was given during that quest. It should be located in the homestore (not to be confused with the shopping cart). Tap on your homestore, then tap on the house icon. Scroll over to the staircase tab. The Candy Spiral Staircase should be in there. If it isn't, tap on the chair icon in your homestore for your furniture then tap on the featured items tab. That was where I first found my spiral staircase. Eventually, it did show up in the house section within the staircase tab.
If you are receiving the message to send your Sim to work at the Real Estate Agency and you are seeing the Real Estate sign with the submit house message, you're good to go. You have probably already completed the DIY quests. I automatically received the Real Estate sign to submit my own homes considering that most of the homes in my town I designed on my own. I've been creating my own homes pretty much since I started playing SFP. I have to admit that Firemonkeys and EA have not made it clear what the architecture quest is or at what level it becomes available.
You can update your kindle fire hdx on your own by using your Settings tool. Swipe your kindle's screen from top to bottom. You should see a gear icon at the top right corner. Tap on the gear and select Device Options. Check the system updates section. If it says that your system is up to date, you're good. What you will need to do then is check for an update to SFP via the Amazon Appstore. The latest update is the Chocolatier limited time hobby quest where you will receive all gingerbread house items upon completion of the hobby within the 7 day time span. You can use time extension tokens if you need to.
Sorry to hear that you had to reinstall your game. It's possible that your kindle hdx might need to be cleaned out. I happen to use the Clean Master app on my Kindle Fire hdx. Sometimes game apps take up alot of storage space and memory on tablets and phones. More times than not, cleaning out the cache files and releasing the memory of startup apps is all that is needed. Clean Master can do that for you. It beats cleaning out the cache of running apps individually. Also if you have any apps on your Kindle that you haven't used in a long time, delete them to free up storage space. Use Clean Master afterwards to clean up any residual files. Shut down your kindle by tapping and holding on your Kindle's screen. Select Power off or Shutdown. Wait about 20 seconds then Power up your Kindle in order to reboot. I honestly hope that this information has been helpful to you. I apologize for it being so lengthy. Good luck. I hope it works out for you.
