Please help ! Stuck on alien concept quest, task negotiate sim eatin plant !!

I'm stuck on the alien concept weather machine quest!! I've got to a task where it says " negotiate with a sim-eating eating plant" and the brief description says osiris (the alien) wants to analyse or study plants then says hmm where to find an 'intelligent plant" a garden patch... but I just can't work out what or how I need to do at all can some one PLEASE HELP ME WITH HOW AND WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO COMPLETE THIS TASK as I'm really stuck and can't get further in the game till I complete it
