Police profession 25 people

Does anybody know why the police profession is the only one that requires you to help 25 people, but only gives you 8 hours? Seems like maybe it was a typo in creating it since all other professions are 15 people.

It's practically impossible to complete without using lps to finish tasks.

Not necessarily... only 1 of them is. (37 seconds) Other than that, the movie profession has 1 and 3 minute tasks and the police also have 1 hr+ just like others so I don't agree with your statement.

Compared room by room, police have shorter tasks than the other professional places, if you want to be fair

if you want to scew it, of course the longest task for the police is longer than the shortest for the EX studio or spa but compared room by room the police have the shortest tasks

compare the shortest police task to the shortest movie task

compare the second shortest police task to the second shortest movie task

compare the longest police task to the longest movie task

compare the second longet police task to the second longest movie task

    and so on

which ones have the shorter tasks?

I also dislike this. I always have to use LPs to reach quota. It also cost much more to spin for career resources too and it takes way longer to reset, granted you receive a larger QTY.

  • I think Police was the first profession added to the game, so they tweaked the format for later professions. But overall, police tasks are shorter, especially for novices.

Task times shorten as each room is upgraded. If you have got the necessary resources unlocked, then focus first on upgrading the rooms instead of completing the profession.  You can do this by switching out Sims regularly as novices will only get the shortest tasks. If you always have them on duty in pairs then you can easily serve 25 customers within an hour, so you get the shift end bonuses on top. You can also have multiple pairs doing shifts each day so you can accrue resources more quickly.. Prioritise using profession coins to increase storage space.

Once you've got all the rooms upgraded to max level then you don't need to worry so much about collecting resources. Now you can justfocus on hitting the targets needed to get your Sims promoted to level 10 of each specialisation.

I was comparing police and movie because those have the same lengths of shift.

Shortest police 37 s, shortest movie 1 min.

Longest police 93 mins, longest movie 80 mins.

The next shortest is 3 mins, then 6 mins. Movie doesn't have a 9 min task. Movie has 19m but police jumps to 37. And then yes movie has 31 and 49.

I'm maxed out on everything, including employees (lvl 10). I did a little test and on average it took an employee 72 minutes to finish 1 person for police helping 25 people. If I were to only help 15 people it would be 80 mins on average.

Now with movie employees it took on average 75 minutes to help 1 person.

I do use lps on tasks that take longer than 1 hour for both professions. I had more people in police needing the 1.5 hour task than I did in the movie needing 1 hr 20 m task, 4/15 for police required over 2 hours for tasks while only 2/15 required 2 hours in police.

I would also say it has nothing to do with who has the shorter tasks because on avg it took me 80 mins to complete 15 police and 75 mins to complete 15 movie. So it takes longer to do the same amount of people with shorter tasks?

Like conspiracyofcats said, the Police was the first profession in SFP. The team got a lot of feedback, so they changed shift requirements and task times for the Movie Studios. After that they changed them for the Hospital and again for the Spa.
All professions are challenging.  Many players prefer the police, others like the Movie Studio or the other professions better.
It’s not possible to get everyone satisfied with everything.

I understand its not possible to satisfy everybody. And thats great they made changes after creating it but it still doesn't make sense as to why they haven't made it 15 people across the board for all professions.

They can't just go back and change the police profession requirements now as that would almost certainly screw things up for everyone who is currently working on that part of the game.
