Puppy Quest - How to get Osiris to open dimensional jump

I'm on the puppy quest.  Finished the saying goodbye to the puppy on the ground.  Now Osiris needs to open a dimensional jump.  My sim, puppy, and Osiris are all on the same lot.  All the quest says is to make sure my sim is sitting in the house.  I've done that.  Had her watch tv, read emails, daydream.  Nothing happens.  My sim can no longer interact with the puppy and the only options with Osiris are be nice, be rude, be funny.  Can anyone help?  I would really like to finish one quest before it expires.

    Sorry to bother everyone. I just figured it out.  I had to buy her a chair to sit on.  Then it opened the stay out of the way option.  If I could have deleted the original post, I would have.

    Glad you got the answer. Just for future reference if you click on the sprocket next to the date/time of your post you will get a drop down menu that will let you edit or delet your post.

    I don't get the delet button just the edit.

    No don't be sorry for correcting me. I thought that everyone had the ability to delete posts. Really they should and I don't know why the delete option isn't available to everyone. 

    By the way thank you for answering some of the posts. It seems like I am the only one doing it and sometimes it gets a bit much especially when the delv team puts a new event out that is riddled with glitches. I could really use the help.
