@larassons I'd like to be able to complete all events, but if I had to choose, then I would prioritize the special Christmas events that reward exclusive items.

The Anniversary quest at the club is fun, with the SimGurus as Sims. I'll also try to redeem the 10 Mystery box keys. 

The Christmas Warming event has a modern nice house as reward.

Influence Island 20 Glam Xmas includes items that complement the same style.

Influence Island 21 Glamorous garages is a must for me. Why? Because the grand prize includes a Ragdoll ❤️ a red sports car (Lamborghini/Ferrari?) and some elegant female CAS items. 

Should I go on? 😃 I think I'll stop here because I find it difficult to choose just a few events 😉

I will do:

A Christmas Warming

10th birthday anniversary

I will claim the free stuff and get the Mystery box keys (as far as I can see, you only need to claim them)

I will do parts of the Influence Islands, I can never complete those but will usually get all the common prizes and one or two rare

I have not yet seen an Influence Island where I think it is worth spending the SPs as they are quite more expensive than a Live Event or a Sim Chase

Depending on the prizes, I might do the Sim Chase

Things I can not do again

The Belle Hotel is not great but it have some interesting parts

Inner Child's Play is worth doing but if you feel it is too much with the other events, wait because it will be back

General advice, if you like the prizes, research and do the events

If the prizes aren't to your liking, skip it

Use timers to alert you when your game needs attention

Use LP/SP to rush some things but be smart about it

- for LP wait until it ticks down to 1H59M it takes 1LP to rush or 2H59M for 2LP etc

- for Live Events, when the crafting have 1M59S left you can rush it for 1SP and get ALL uncollected bonus, meaning you don't have to check in every 10 min to collect bonus. Restock Jewels and Glass for SP. A live Event cost about 70- 100 SP

- for Sim Chase, do all tasks but the lesson in the park, by then skipping the episode is usually cheaper than paying for the lesson (if you use simoleons, a sim chase will cost about 1/4 of your cash, so I use SPs) a Sim Chase is about 75-100SP
