You can try having the baby socially interact with an adult until they're best friends and see if you get a social interaction "ask to be adopted" this works with toddlers, preteens and teens, but I'm not sure about babies. If it does work the adult will then live in the house with the baby. 

On the other hand, if it doesn't work you can just have an adult visit the baby occasionally to fill its needs and just let the baby live there by himself until you can age him into a toddler and then use the adoption social interaction.
