Unfortunately this happens when the time and date settings have been changed on your device.

We have been receiving increasing numbers of reports of players experiencing trouble with their Sims FreePlay game due to altering the time and date settings of their device in order to exploit the game within the Sims FreePlay, or otherwise. There have also been reports of various websites suggesting that this method will "fix" any time-based issues that you may be experiencing in your game, which is certainly not the case and would never be recommended by our support and development teams

Manually changing the time and date settings may skip time-based events completely and cause other issues in your game with features including the party boat, daily rewards and careers. Unfortunately we are not able to correct this problem as it will irreparably damage your save file, so the only way to fix the issue is to re-install your game and begin a new one. Backing-up and restoring your save data after re-installing the game will only restore your already damaged save file. 

We have found that the following issues are connected to changing the date settings on your device, then playing The Sims FreePlay: 

    • Buildings taking significantly longer times to complete.
    • Sims and babies taking significantly longer times to arrive.
    • Sims no longer attempting to attend work.
    • No longer receiving your daily mailbox reward.
    • Daily Party Boat gifts taking significantly longer to arrive.
    • No longer having access to timed events or special limited edition awards, including that of future updates.

We have also found that having incorrect time and date settings will prevent you from being able to access any online features such as: 

    • Connecting to the Cloud.
    • Connecting to the Online Store.
    • Connecting to the Party Boat, accessing your leaderboard and gifts.

To minimize the chances of experiencing these problems, we recommend using your device's automatic time and date settings, as this will compensate for time differences in your game even while travelling.
