Hello,
I would suggest visiting your Mysterious Island Volcano, and watching it erupt, prior to tapping your "collect all" icon.
Many seem to be in the habit of clicking the icon from their main city screen straight away after logging on, and doing this prevents the player from being able to see their volcano erupt for another 24 hours.
Visit your volcano first and tap the icon there to watch it erupt.

To be perfectly honest, I would like to see a development update to the volcano.
Simply viewing a pool of red-orange lava floating near the top of the volcano doesn't cut it for me. I'd like the lava to spew up and flow down the sides of the volcano.
I also think it'd be fab if the developers would consider implementing your idea of adding a timer, or a countdown to next eruption icon. 👍
