Scientific Breakthroughs In Baths Just Don't Come Quickly
I reported a problem with the geek lifetime aspiration in February. Instead of taking hours to have a scientific breakthrough in the bath, now an elder takes only 10 minutes, 9 with a 3-star bath I think. Support has given me a runaround. First I get an automatic notice about a high volume of requests then a couple weeks of nothing before someone saying it's being looked into. Then after that an automated reply saying if I don't send further requested info they'll assume my issue is resolved. I did reply and told them it definitely wasn't and there was NO request for further information in their previous reply. Then an apologetic reply from an agent saying he is doing the best he can but not actually giving any reassurance it will be fixed. And again not asking for any further information.
Now today I got another email, one that says it appears my issue is resolved. I replied back that it definitely isn't and included a current screenshot of the problem. Also noted to them that though I only reported it with my son's game, it also occurs in my own. I just knew then not to choose that way of getting points for any geek elder Sim. Still, it took forever to get that elder Sim to her age and there's no way she'll be able to restart from scratch as an elder so I can pick another choice. So until this gets fixed she's stuck, unless I let her go and give the orb to a new Sim. Very aggravating and I wish it would be fixed.
This is probably not a glitch but a change. Fire Monkey is always changing the time on hobbies and other tasks. The skating hobby is a good example of this. They did away with all the times except thr 12 hour one.
Your sim sim should still have enough time, even at ten minutes. to do this task and complete the orb before she goes.
