"Sims Freeplay Ski lift key goal - not working

Hello...if anyone reads this.. I finally got a sim to achieve all 12 of the skating medals, and the screen shows that he also got the ski lift key...but I still can not complete the snowboarding goa...

I'm playing on an iPad and have no problem with the ski lift.  Just having problems with audio (no sound) and game freezing if I have a Sim grow the Simoleon plant.
