Softlocked on Pet Store Upgrade Tutorial ("Upgrade Acquired" already checked)

Hi everyone, has anyone found a workaround for this softlock on the Landgraab Store Upgrade tutorial?

When I first logged back into my old save, I only had a Preteen Sim in town, so Nancy's tutorial didn't trigger and I was able to buy the first Pet Store upgrade ("Revenue Raiser") normally.

Later, I created an Adult Sim, which finally triggered Nancy's tutorial (Not sure if this is the main reason). Now the tutorial forces me onto the Pet Store upgrade screen and tells me to tap "Get Upgrade" on Revenue Raiser, but it already says "UPGRADE ACQUIRED" with a checkmark and can't be clicked. The tutorial overlay blocks me from tapping any other buttons or backing out, and reinstalling just loads right back into this screen.

Has anyone else run into this or found a way to bypass the prompt?

    Hello,

    I am experiencing a game-breaking bug in The Sims FreePlay involving the Pet Store upgrade tutorial.

    The tutorial requires me to purchase an upgrade that I have already acquired. The upgrade is marked as “UPGRADE ACQUIRED,” but the tutorial will not let me interact with anything else or exit the screen.

    I cannot continue playing because I am completely stuck in this tutorial. This is happening on my long-standing game account, which contains years of progress and achievements that I do not want to lose.

    Could you please advise me on whether there is a way to resolve this issue without losing my existing game progress?

    Hi, I have the exact same problem as you, but it started months ago. I was never able to fix it, so I uninstalled the game hoping it would be resolved upon reinstalling—I did that a few days ago, but it’s still the same :( It’s an account I’ve had for many years, full of achievements, clothing items, and all missions completed. Were you able to find a solution?
