Sunset mall Skydiving

Hi, about 10hrs ago I had several days to complete the time prize at the sunset mall for the indoor skydiving.

Upon checking the sims this morning I had a message saying I missed the timed event prize . As mentioned earlier I literally checked it hours before and had days to go.

Does anyone know if this is common and is there a way of obtaining the skydiving arena or is it just gone
