Super Toddler Secret Quest won't let me complete task

I'm trying to complete the give toddler cookies task and I bought the cupboard but every time I have a sim click it I get the red stop circle. I tried selling it and rebuying it. I tried moving it to ...

Use an adult,to give the cookie to the toddler.

      You're probably using the wrong cupboard. Open the task, it tells you exactly which one to use. When you place it you will get a text bubble over it. That lets you know you've got the right one. If I remember it looks like a counter with a shelf over it not a cupboard.
