The Sims Freeplay progress not saving

I have The Sims Freeplay installed on my android phone and has been playing for a while now, I have 18 Sims and is currently Level 35. I have encountered a problem lately about my game progress; sometimes when I save and exit it doesn't save my progress at all. I would make them do tasks and when I come back to check, my Sim isn't doing the task anymore but is in the location, wearing what they’re supposed to wear while doing the said task. Even just simple tasks like sleeping or going to work, for example, I would send them to work, save and exit, and when I come back, they are at home wearing work clothes. I also cannot send them back again because ‘it isn’t time for work anymore’, they didn’t earn anything because they didn’t finish their job. It is also an intermittent issue, sometimes it doesn’t happen, most of the time it happens.

I thought the matter might be because of connectivity issues, but I’ve been playing using my mobile data or the wifi at home and it didn’t fix the issue. I also thought that maybe this happened because I have too many Sims in the game so I deleted two Sims, but it also didn’t fix the issue.

Any of you who experienced this issue as well? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
