Time remaining is obsurd

Hello, I have noticed a problem while playing Sims Freeplay, What happens is that I'll set a task (build supermarket for an example). The time left until the task is finished works just fine as long as I keep the app open but if i closes the app, the time INSTANTLY jumps up to 174 hours almost each and every time, This is a very annoying bug because I have to reload the game SEVERAL times just to be able to load my game and finish the task.

I have not changed the time or date of anything on my phone. The only possible option is I didn't play the game for a few days, but I highly doubt that would have this kind of effect on the game.

Running the game on a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III with Android 4.1.2 App version2.3.11 (according to application manager). Any suggestions or solutions are greatly appreciated.
