As of right now I'm going to say it's very unlikely and that's coming from a player that owns all packs to date.
I am a bit of a completionist but the sheer amount of content that's likely to be pumped through this store is probably going to be overwhelming and I still have so much content I haven't even touched in my game.
I also really don't like the idea of virtual currency - I hated this in The Sims 3 days - and the content showcased so far seems to more modern run-of-the-mill themes that seems geared towards a particular player type that isn't me (although Reader's Nook and Rustic Nest so look charming) - I crave fantasy and whimsy and rely heavily on the beautiful work of CC creators for some of the fantastic content already in my game and I don't see this changing any time soon.
I think for the time being I am going to sit back and see how things unfold in the coming months with the Marketplace and the franchise more widely.
If what's been rumoured about Project X is true, I also am reticent to continue to pump money into the game.
I have absolutely no intention of moving to another game and having to restart with DLC (I'd only be tempted if all existing DLC was ported over but that's very unlikely). No, I will continue enjoy my The Sims 4 game using all of the features and utilising the variation of mods I have to provide the depth I so desire in my life simming.

It depends, honestly. I might buy kits from the store and some market packs if i feel like the price is fair.

I absolutely will not buy from the marketplace. I just wish EA would hurry up and walk away from Sims, so I can mod it up to improve the game enough to actually play again. I haven't touched my game sims 2020 because I'm tired of the broken packs, broken game, broken updates breaking even more. I just want them to hurry and and walk away from Sims 4, stop updating it, and let me play my game. I'm hoping this Marketplace is the last "hurrah!" they give before giving up on the game.

Of course because the most interesting part of a marketplace is the large variety of choice.
I mean TS3 Store brought Sci-fi, Medieval, Circus, ... all these stuff that we never got in packs.

I wonder if this "split" so uneven because they are essentially creating a new dev team (even if it is a small team) dedicated to just to vet, test, possibly fix and approve/push out "Maker" content instead. If this is the case that worries me. I don't want an entire team working on this, if it was a few dev members a couple hours a week/several hours a month, on top of bug fixing and creation official content, sureโfine.
But you know they will be pressured to push out anything they think they can get money from (even if the aspiring worker has dreams and intends to make sure there is quality control and cohesion). Even some current kits are not cohesive in matching the game (one reason I don't buy creator created content).
Honestly, Kits made it really easy to not buy in Sims 4 since there is no CAStyle or unique premium items/objects. Even the most tempting Kit I have waited out for for cheaper prices/bundles, but now it looks like it is just going the other direction... more expensive and awkward to get.

If this is all the content we will be getting (i.e. R+L really was the last expansion) then honestly I am done buying Sims content entirely. I only own a couple of kits because I don't see them as a good value and it appears that this new store may mean even fewer items for the same cost. I sure do miss game packs and stuff packs.
I'm also unhappy with the split for the creator because it seems exploitive. I'm curious who decides the price of their pack? Them or EA? Are there minimum item counts for each pricing tier?

With the CC they trying to introduce on it now, No it don't resonate with how I play and I don't need frankenmesh clothing and BB. It's needs to be new, at a good price and how I play my game, none of the packs I've seen do that.

I imagine people on console might be happy about it. People on PC got options and many of them are still free.

At this moment in time, the answer is no.
I may be alone in thinking this, but I reckon a lot of my anger and frustration is placed towards the creators themselves. As if things like Patreon and perma-paywalling weren't enough for these greedy hobbyists, now they have another excuse to try and squeeze more money out of players, milking all that remains of an exhausted game.
As for EA, well I'm hardly surprised by such a move. It's in their nature to ruin what was once a nice thing. The Royalty and Legacy expansion now marks the end of my Sims 4 collection.
