"All Marketplace content is human-reviewed before release to help ensure it’s safe, playable, and appropriate for the game’s rating, guided by The Sims’ Positive Play Charter."
That’s honestly hard to take seriously. They can’t even review their own game to make sure it’s safe and playable before release, so how exactly do they expect to manage that for CC? 😂
The fact the 70/30 split disproportionately favours EA's greed over the time, effort and talent of Creators is enough for me to decide not to use the marketplace. I will of course, continue to support creators who are not on the marketplace through other means. I can't fathom why some of my favourite cc creators are willingly participating in this. Of course, it's their choice and I'll respect that, but it also means I won’t be able to support them anymore.

Yes, to everything you listed. I think it would also be nice if they added some mods that improved the gameplay, like the restaurant mod or the hotel mod. There could be others but I don't keep up with all the available mods out there.

I don't either.

I felt the same way about the Reading Nook because for me it almost looks like Dark Academia which is a design style I favor so that is one of the few things I'm considering. That and the light switches but nothing else strikes my fancy.

Absolutely not. This is an excellent way to ruin custom content, creator freedom, and expansions to the game. Using real money to purchase fake money that I cannot refund is crazy work anyway. Purchasing custom content, when more often than not CC doesn't match the style, or look good in game, and gets deleted, with the fake money that I used real money to purchase is madness. The greed here is disgustingly apparent, as though it hasn't been for years. We have a game that barely works most of the time. Events and updates are constantly breaking things, bugs that have been around since the INITIAL RELEASE are still in the game, and now you want us to purchase your fake currency that is non-refundable, so that we can then use your fake currency to purchase more things for our broken games. Bravo, EA, you have run this franchise about as far into the ground as I imagined you would.

I do not plan on buying Marketplace content.
Previously I have bought every release (excluding the last two kits) hoping for the day we would eventually get something that expanded on things like sports, music, and arts in game.
Now I am not sure that will ever happen, and why would I continue to support a game that I feel like isn’t meeting my desires as a player.
I am so disappointed with this franchise.

I won't buy anything on the Marketplace. If I want to support a custom content or mod creator, I prefer to support them through their website, which is more advantageous for them than the Marketplace!

I won't ever buy anything from the Market place it is bad enough you have over £1k over packs kits etc which i am only about £100 short on kits but honestly so not worth buying the kits and the fact you never have even 50% off sales is why i won't even buy those you need to get a grip.

it just sounds like it's another way of rinsing players. I don't know why the cc makers are taking part either, is it to showcase their work? I wouldn't be surprised that in the future, mods get banned unless you buy them through the 'marketplace.' Then of course they would be full of bugs because EA has fiddled with them.

No, honestly the marketplace being announced made me decide to stop buying anything at all. I’m fairly new to the Sims so I only have a few DLC, seeing the sims keep digging their own grave deeper has made me decide I’m not going to spend any more money on it. Unless they get rid of the marketplace or make it a completely free way to get CC on console I’m done. They would have to do a lot to win me back at this point.
