Question about EA Maker Program eligibility for a creator residing in Russia

I think this is a completely reasonable question and deserves a clear answer from EA. If Russia is considered an EA-embargoed region, it would be helpful to understand how a creator currently residing there can participate in the Maker Program and sell content through the official Marketplace. I hope EA can clarify the policy for everyone.

Same. I hope, this is a mistake, cause I am an old truly fan of NFS and the sims. I would prefer if I could buy EA's games in the future

I'd like to know how this situation came about in the first place. After all, the developer is based in a country subject to the EA embargo.

I've spent a lot of money on the game and would like to be sure that the company will follow its own rules.

The official Maker Program requirements clearly state that applicants must not reside in an EA-embargoed region and must have an EA account in good standing with the EA User Agreement. (EA) If a creator who is publicly identified as residing in an embargoed region has been accepted into the Maker Program and is currently publishing monetized content through the official Marketplace, could EA please explain how this eligibility was determined? If there is an exception or a different interpretation of the regional eligibility rules, it would be helpful for EA to clarify this publicly. Otherwise, it raises a reasonable question about whether the same eligibility requirements are being applied consistently to all creators. Rules are meaningful only when they are applied consistently. I would therefore appreciate an official clarification from the EA team regarding how this case complies with the current Maker Program requirements.

According to official terms, applicants must reside in a supported, non-embargoed region to participate and monetize content. EA team, we would like to request clarification regarding the inclusion of creators from regions subject to restrictions in the Sims Maker programme.

According to EA’s policy on regulatory compliance and sanctions, operations and monetisation in Russia are currently suspended. However, the platform features a Russian creator (SolovejCC) who is actively working and residing in Russia.

Does EA allow exceptions to its embargo and sanctions policy for individual creators? We would like a clear explanation of how region verification is carried out for the ‘Maker’ programme, and we also request that EA’s terms and conditions be applied equally across all platforms for creators.

Thanks for raising this. It's a paid program with direct revenue sharing, so seeing a creator like SolovejCC participating makes no sense when Russia is on EA's embargoed list.
