Can i change my sims traits?

I am stuck with traits i do not want and I want to change them as soon as the traits i want become available.

I have a sims that works in fashion, and every time a new trait became available i entered the select menu, but the fashion trait was never available. And i think any player know, once you are in that menu you are forced to make a selection(you cant escape that menu).So i selected random traits, till all 4 window traits were full, and still the fashion trait was never available?

Also recently only heard about heirlooms, which is so bad, have been playing this game since beginning middle last year, and it would be such a letdown if you cant change the traits or swap them out?

    Changing traits is a new feature from recent updates.  The posted answer was true in March but is no longer true.  You can now change traits in the sim info menu.

    If we cannot change them then why, at the bottom of the Heirloom Page does I’m say : “You can change your SIm’sTrait from the SIM Info menu” ?  (Note pic attach d)

    Awesome, now exactly where is the SIMS INFO MENU? I’ve looked in The Family Tree Picture, I’ve checked on the SIM Career, Hobbies, Relationship & Change Outfit Page. I’ve run out of obvious places to check. Bear with me, I’m a 57 yr old Noob.

    @g9bdefhijno worries! It's the change outfit/career etc page. At the top are a few shapes, the one at the end has diamond shape, that's the one!

    Circle shows how many stickers that Sim has, speech bubble show all their contacts.
