Yeah, me too! They need to work out these bugs asap. My plans have been stalled too. Sigh. I was even saving up SimCash to move him in as my 3rd playable character. Did you also get your wedding arch after you proposed? Because that's what I did and I think that may be the bug. For example, I can't unlock some career stuff even though I have completed that career.. The item/or task came up after I completed it so... yeah.

But anyway, I hope this gets patched soon.. for all of us. Or at least some acknowledgement that they're working on it. I won't ever get to retire my sim this way. :/

    Awh, jeeves! That sucks, we are back to square one. And plus your post was 2 months ago! Ok, I'm gonna experiment some more and stuff. If I have any updates, I'll post it here at once! 🙂

    hey! hey! hey my fellow simmies! There was an update today! I just did it and at the wedding arch the "blocked" option totally disappeared but when I called my NPC partner over and tapped on him, there was a "Here Comes The Wedding" option that is 8 hours! I just started it! I hope it works out but u guys do it too yo!!! 🙂 (yayy!)

    Edit (Update): MY FRIENDS!!!! IT WORKS!!!! MY SIMS ARE MARRIED AFTER THAT EVENT! I'M IN TEARSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

    i know this old but i'm just now having this problem. There are no updates for me, but it says my sims are not engaged even though they are
