Hey guys! According to the latest Patch notes (version 11.1.0) this bug should be fixed:

Additional feedback Since the new update, I can no longer play the game because as soon as I enter the App, the “A surprising choice” option comes up but nothing happens. The option remains there frozen and I can’t click or do anything. I see Sims moving in the blurred background but that’s it. It renders the game entirely unplayable. I tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing works.
