how do i have an incompatible version of my sims game is installed on my device?

I have been playing sims on my Pc (HP desktop) for several months with no problems, I started having issues with my game freezing and not letting my sims move. So, with YouTube help I "fixed" it. Now I have no clue what I did and the Sims 4 game will not play on the EA app. It won't even let me repair the sims game or download it. I have deleted the EA app cleared my catches and have savaged the EA help page for days what else can i do?!
