How often do you get a suprising choice and what triggers them?

It would be awesome if someome could share their experience on this subject. How do you trigger your suprising choice to appear and how often does it appear to you?  One more thing: I read somewhere...

I don’t know why but Lucas keeps receiving the surprise choice when he is about to enter parties. I also just realise we can’t interact with the upset sim! I’m sharing bcos I think it’s funny 🤣

@terogamusaudiHaz I had one today where Jake was a blubbering fool! It was hysterical. Yours is funnier though..."Itzel is upset!" 😂😁

    I don’t mind if it were a surprising choice from his current wife, Hana, but this was from Itzel, his NPC ex-wife. The game somehow still acknowledges her as his SO. I had to keep on rejecting her advances towards Lucas 😂

      Ex-Spouses just keep causing trouble.  Just like in real life.  😉
