How often do you get a suprising choice and what triggers them?

It would be awesome if someome could share their experience on this subject. How do you trigger your suprising choice to appear and how often does it appear to you?  One more thing: I read somewhere...

@ava7171 You're lucky. I keep getting XP Surprising Choices that does absolutely nothing for me or $2000 hot tubs which I have 2 already.  I would love a pet. ☺

@PaQuilter1 I know how it feels I was really lucky 2 times when I got the aquarium and a hot tub other than that they were all XP choices every single day the same thing 😂 I keep hoping to get a hot tub once more to buy a wall so my guests can actually use the tub on my parties.
