No it's not possible. I don't seem to really have this problem unless I'm having a party. Are you having a party?
No it’s just sims walking near my house. Some of them walk in. Thanks for the reply though.

I have noticed that they will usually only walk in if you interact with them. Once you have any contact with them outside (talk, give stickers, etc.), you have opened your door and given them free access until you chase them out by arguing with them (rival interactions).

Alternately, if they are on your contact list or you have any relationship with them you can go to another part of town and then summon them there. They will stay there after you return home.
