Item limit
How are we supposed to improve our lifestyle with such a small in house item limit? Its not possible to collect all hobby and work rewards and still have a functioning house. I just paid for the chris...

I am so confused right now. I tried to change my walls and floors today and was told I have too many different patterns and must remove some before I can put a new type of flooring or interior wall covering in my home. Now, most of my house is done in the same type of wall, at least three changed to same type, and yet I still cannot choose a different wall, or floor, covering.
Just now, I tried to change the color of an item already placed and it wouldn't let me. It told me I was over my item limit.
This cannot be functioning as intended?

@amchristian I can't change anything either. I have 4 different floor coverings in a house with 12 rooms. They are sick. Let them play their own game. See how long that would last. 😟😤

Your game is optimized too! (In reality is has something to do with how much processor resources/storage your house uses. It isn't a number limit, it is a resource limit.
@BlueWizardRob If it's a resource limit then that means the Zen Waterfall and the fireplaces are using more resources than, say, a chair. 😮

Very likely. We know that plants use more than beds or tables
I too have received that message about too many wall patterns and I've received it about floor patterns as well. Then on top of that I get the item limit for items in my house. This isn't even fun to play any more because I can't do anything. I've counted my items and I've counted several other sims houses items and they have more including my boyfriend he has about 40 more items in his house and is still able to continually add items. They really need to get rid of any limits. They encourage us to have parties to show off our houses and I refuse to because I've had to put so much stuff in storage and I can't even design my house the way I want to because of the limits.
Since this Item Limit problem keeps coming up, maybe we could keep all the comments in this one thread for other players to add their thoughts to,
It*# hard to believe that this issue has been ongoing since
December 2017.
Hopefully EA will see this & address/fix this once & for all.
Every time a new Event or Quest is introduced or we finish C.H.R chapters, we can add to Collection— but Never can put them out due to these Limits imposed on us. We need a solution.
