@EA_Mage My game keeps shutting down and doesn't recognize that I placed the internet computer desk. My SIM can use it but the task isn't cleared. Any suggestions?
UPATE: It fixed itself...I hope.
Well there's still a problem but I entered it on the Bugs Board. Thanks anyway!
Help, can't complete quest 8/18 because I have four sims in the 4 default hobbies (no piano) and can't start a new one. Is retiring a sim my only option?
@thrice_great No just pick one of your 4. The game will save your Sim's progress in their current hobby and start the new hobby. You can switch back after the event is over. That's what I'm doing. 😊
- @PaQuilter1 Whenever I try that I get a 'Sim is already in this hobby'. All my Sims are in their own hobbies.
Yes, you will have to retire a sim, get a piano or buy the pack that lets you start the internet hobby early.
@BlueWizardRob I was lucky i had a new sim with no hobby thank goodness because I’m not buying $350 worth of simcash to get the piano hobby!
@BlueWizardRob Why? Ginamarie was doing the writing hobby and I switched her to the internet hobby. It said her writing hobby progress would be saved. What am I missing here?😮
@BlueWizardRob Or is it that I bought that pack and that's why I don't have the Quest? I just asked Phantom to see if that's why my game crashed...because I wasn't suppose to have the quest in the first place. I am doing the hobby but I thought it was the Quest!
- BlueWizardRob It looked like there was no other way to clear the quest without forking over some cash or retiring a Sim. So I retired one.

@rmw8855 Or buy the pack they are selling. Turns out the pack buys the hobby and you don't have to do the quest. Who knew...not me. I had no idea what I was buying.😊

- I feel like that was a bad idea for a quest anyway. Like people are saying, there are only 4 basic hobbies and people have Sims in those hobbies or the others already.
I have 3 Sims already in hobbies and had to pay to switch to one that was available and pay again to switch back to the original because it was mastered. But it didn't make any sense to have to do that in the first place. Just my 2 cents, they could've come up with something better. Just another way shake us down for simoleons, or real money, or force retirement as if the pop ups aren't enough lol.I finally got through the stupid thing... cash spent to make up for lost time grrr
I like to match my hobbies to my sims careers so, so this addition is good for me (even if the event sucked). I need more for it to work with my OCD requirements.
For now it goes;
DJ = Guitarist
Chef = Cook
Lawyer = Writer
Business = Internet
Fashion/Photography = Yoga
I don’t have the piono hobby (I’m not spending $350 simcash to get it) and apart from the divine looking Pianos etc that come with it, we already had a music hobby.
What i really want is a photography hobby for my photography career. You could do so much with that, like travel to the marketplace/Parkside etc... to capture pics, as well as to parties to get some candid/portrait shots.
I’d love something creative to pair up with my Fashion career too. I’m thinking an Art hobby, so its creative and kind of ties in with design.
Then we need a Fitness Gym, so you could be a Personal Trainer for a career and use the Yoga hobby to suit!

- Ok now I am kinda upset at myself but I can’t remember entirely if the first pack was $6.99 in dollars too. This screenshot I grabbed off twitter shows it in £s as 6.99.
I completed this quest and got a smaller pack pop up for 350 sim cash, which would cost $9.99 for me to buy all the accessories! If I could have gotten the hobby without the stress of the event (would have done it anyway) and all these items plus the extras for $3 less!
Of course I have no idea what these items cost in game individually so I am hoping some will be simoleans as they unlock and I won’t have to spend anything.
But had I known...
So if you haven’t finished the quest yet, maybe consider the better deal on the first pack before it disappears !
And if anyone has progressed through the hobby can you tell us what the items in the post-quest cost individually? I have forgotten what the computer cost already- approx 2000 simoleans I think- you have to buy when you finish the quest to start the hobby.
