Missing interaction icons on objects at work

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? My Sims for Mobile on both my devices are synced with Facebook, EA, Twitter & Gamecenter. I unlocked the Fashion Studio and Medical Center on my iPad before I left home, and created a new Sims character too. Half an hour later when I left home, I opened the game on my phone (the game was running in background before this, as I didn't end the app). The character disappeared (no biggie, I can recreate it), but for my Fashion Studio, and Medical Center, the pink event icon (Start work here) on both places disappeared. The area remained unlocked. I have to randomly click on the object in both the work place to find out which one will allow me to work there. While I am doing the work event in both places, the interaction icon (Star) only appears on NPCs and players roaming in that area but on none of the objects, I have to manually try all of it to see which I can interact with.
What do you expect to see? I should be able to see the interaction icon (star) on all the objects that i can interact with, like the rest of the work events.

Additional feedback I have tried reinstalling the game on both my devices but the problem persists. I know the only way is to start fresh, but I spent quite some time with the game and money and I don't want to reset. Love the game, please don't end it too soon like The Sims Social.
I am at work and I can only see the interaction icon on players and NPCs.
This is how it's supposed to be when you are at work. The interaction icon appears on objects too.
