I am thinking this issue is perhaps happening especially when you host scheduled parties where most players try to join at the same time.
I normally don't schedule parties, but host 8 - 9 p.m. UTC +2 any day of the week.
I hosted a party a couple of days ago at an unusual time, something like 9 a.m. UTC +2. It did not crash, but the strange thing that happened was that next day, after collecting rewards, the purple party bubbles reappeared and I had to collect party rewards again.
I will try hosting at a random time after cool down and see how it goes. Will keep you posted.
For now, I’m using another lot as my sims can’t go to the main home without the game crashing.

Did you have to move your Sims to another lot? What happens when you open the game? Do you have to go immediately to the other lot and avoid doing anything on the main lot?- 6 years ago@SalixCat Yes, I had to move three of them in another lot except for the party host just in case and kept all of them working.
If I travel to my house by accident, I had to restart my phone and Wi-Fi connections to be able to get back in.
I’m waiting for the cooldown to be over before travelling back to main lot. - 6 years ago
@SalixCatJust a quick update. I hosted a friends only party this week and my party still glitched after 2 hours. The party reached level 10 within 20 minutes and guests were coming in even after an hour.
I’ve also downsized my house to two floors and removed a lot of items to see if it has any impact.
Before starting the party, I moved three of my sims to another lot and the host remained at the main house.
The only thing I haven’t tried is asking the guests to bring one sim only to the party.
