Overlapping Items

Hi, I don’t know if this has been asked before but I was trying to place items at the back of my house, but for some reason it shows that the items are overlapping when there’s literally a huge gap between them. I’ve tried this with other small items and it still overlapped with the kitchen counter. Is this a glitch or something? Am I the only one with this problem? I’ve attached photos below.
