The Piano heirloom that triggers the hobby often shows up in the Heirloom tab.
You might also get it by retiring a Sim, however it's very rare. Also very expensive to buy in the Heirloom tab.The Featured at the upper tabs are showing Surgeon Career Pack, Sweet Deal Pack, SimCash & Gems Pack and Summer Hairsyles only. And all these packs are required Real Cash to purchase. All those pack using SimCash includes Piano Pack isn't showing.
I've already retired a SIM, seems no differences. If what you're asking is "Why isn't the Piano Pack showing up as one of the deals that I can purchase," that may just be the game being quirky. From looking over the topics on the board, it seems that not every player is offered all of the deals out there, and more than one person is complaining about not seeing an item pack for sale that others have available to them.
The heirloom itself is a rare heirloom, meaning that you're not likely to get it at this point without retiring several sims and/or getting pretty lucky with a mid-to-high tier heirloom box purchase.

I've already retired a SIM, seems no differences.Try the heirlooms tab. Different heirlooms for hobbies and traits show up there to be purchased (every few days? daily? I can't remember). Retiring a Sim can give you any heirloom. I've been hoping for the photography heirloom but the last two Sims I retired gave me the lucky II and generous II heirlooms so now I'm just waiting for the heirloom to come up for purchase in the heirlooms tab.
It is available in my heirloom store today 🙂 I'm thinking whether or not to buy it, still can't make decision. Will you buy it? and why?
Has many of you bought this heirloom?
It would be literally months trying to earn enough simcash within the game for a buy at the current rate, so chances are good I'll buy a pack of simcash to purchase the heirloom (eventually). I meant to purchase the original deal, but I just forgot before time ran out.
Trying to get it via heirloom boxes seems like a poor bet--once I finally had enough luxe tokens for the rare heirloom box, I promptly received a duplicate uncommon heirloom and I was less than amused. I just retired two sims today and although they both left me rare heirlooms, those also were duplicates, which is super-lame.- PaQuilter17 years agoHero (Retired)
@Starlight0007 I would buy it if you want it because from what everyone is saying the heirloom is hard to get by chance, If it was me, I'd buy it but that's me. ☺
@miater23 yeah I understand the feeling of getting duplicates. I haven't been able to open any luxe heirloom box yet, the luxe tickets are so hard to come by.
My sims are now focusing on hobbies because they all are in a house and I can help them finish quick practice easily. The heirlooms that helped me is Talented II (I have it on all of my sim's traits, I think I got it from super heirloom box). The rest of the traits I give according to the hobbies/career they are at like artisan/musical
@PaQuilter1 hey I finally bought the heirloom ! My sim with musical trait have been practicing hard ever since :P
The old system of heirlooms was better for getting them all. Before the "new" heirloom store, you used to have a random chance of getting an heirloom that you didn't already have. That means that you never received a rare until you had all of the uncommon and you didn't get any of those until you had all of the commons, but it meant that there were no duplicates until after you had everything.
