I have the same problem and costumer servises won't help me!

Sims mobile is bad game with many bugs and no help from the creators, just a quick money grab for them i guess 

Best thing would be to contact an EA game advisor about this issue.

You can do so through The Sims Mobile app. Open the side menu, choose the gear icon, then the button with 'Help'.
This will open your browser, scroll down until you see 'Contact Us' and choose 'Technical Support'.

I couldn’t complete task 17 after finishing several chapters and even starting a new hobby. By the time I deleted, reinstalled and got to the point where I could connect to my Cloud account, the quest was over. They offered me 200 Simoleons. 

I missed out on the photography career during the ASOS event as well as the Internet hobby last time due to glitches. 

That said, I still enjoy the game during events like the Summer Picnic so I’m looking forward to the Throw Down Event. I don’t play every day like I used to, though. 

Same, I completed 2 hobby chapters in part 17 of 18 of the photography quest and it wouldn’t recognise the 2nd hobby chapter so I ran out of time to complete the quest. Feeling cheated.

I'm getting the same problem with the new bar quest, it says you have to complete 2 career chapters to pass onto the next quest, I completed 1 and it never registered! I'm on 8 out of 18 quests and I have just over 2 days to complete it to get the reward but I think after all the problems i'm not going to bother with these quests anymore as it seems you're set up to fail, I've already used lots of my cupcakes to move on quicker but i don't think i'll waste anymore on something i can't win, I'll just carry on playing the game as normal and ignore all the competitions and quests, they're a waste of time and effort
