During quest 19 I noticed a sim missing work shifts and the cafe event is inaccesable, brought the sim home when I hit quest 20 and they weren’t in the house anywhere, clicking on them took me far out in the ocean somewhere where my sim was stuck floating. I decided to make a sacrifice and retire the sim, no quest still.
So I’m stuck waiting now for a fix to move on. 🤢

I have an update, weirdly enough I went to check the game and my sim finished the cafe event even though I wasn’t even able to start it. 🤔
My sims are doing llama zoom tasks at the moment and everything looks ok so far, when I’m done I’ll try events and see if those start normally for me. Don’t know if retiring my sim had anything to do with it or if the game is just glitching out but I have moved on at this point. 😜
Another update, I finished llama zoom quests and now have 3 sims doing the harvest events and was able to start them with no issues.
When I was stuck and left the game I had one sim doing a long shift, they finished on their own and when I returned they had finished the harvest event I was not able to start. So it would seem there’s some sort of a lag or glitch in the event itself and the event had proceeded forward on its own in a way as if its anticipating the next part of the quest. When I finish the events which I’ve used cupcakes on I’ll post my findings.
Keep going all, right now it’s looking like this is something that can be overcome somehow. 😉
Update- I’m on quest #23, no missing job quests anymore and no issues with the holiday events. 🥳

This happened to me when my sim finished an event and i clicked on the pink tick on her head. And then the game glitched and hung up but i kept clicking on the pink tick. Then when it worked again my land expansion was done and i lost 100+ simcash (which I didn’t get back because,duh, EA customer service). Anyway, it would be safer to close the game when this happens.
I started the Restaurant event and within like 10 minutes, the same sim finished a standard shift (which was the event she did before). This has been happening for the past three days already. Fix it please!! I was so excited for the pumpkin spice lovers and I’ve waste 2 days trying to collect the 1,200 slices because the events aren’t working properly. I really hope they extend the time for this quest. This is really inconvenient. Also, If I open a bag, it continues opening a bunch of bags even if I don’t have the slices for it. Normally, I wouldn’t complain about that but I have like 5 lanterns and 5 wreaths already because of this glitch and I’m sick of it. Lol. The whole event has many bugs that need to be fixed.
