I am having a very severe case of this issue. I have made countless children with the same couple trying to get a pair of valid siblings. The couple was producing children from a single bassinet while living together in the same house while married. None of the children have been siblings even though they all list the two parent sims as their mother and father. This has been going on and on and on. I have bred close to a dozen sims and can't seem to get them to have the correct sibling relationship.

Please someone tell me how I can finally generate real siblings?

I have this problem too, but support doesn't help. Marvin, Janet and Willi are actually siblings, but are shown as acquaintances.

We've so far not been able to reproduce this issue, do you remember if you used the try for baby or the adopt a baby on the bassinet?

I always use try for baby and never adopt. 

I even tried making a brand new sim instead of breeding one. I had that sim make babies with a friend’s sim and still the babies were not siblings!

Also, my husband also has this issue on his account. He completed sibling rivalry months ago, however, so he isn’t blocked.

I wonder if all mature accounts that have bred many generations eventually get stuck in this state? If someone has a mature account that still correctly generates siblings can you share some details for comparison?

EDIT -- Hey, has anybody with this bug tried retiring and sending away all their sims and starting fresh with two completely fresh new sims? The only thing holding me back from trying it is that I adopted a sim from a friend a while ago that I've been keeping as a permanent retired fixture in my household... I'll be sad to send him away, especially if it doesn't result in siblings.

@SimGuruMaaike  I've always try for baby. These 2 are brothers yet, they don't recognize each other. (Strangely the same thing happened to his mother and her brother.)

@cutopia1111 do you wait until their children become young adults before retiring their parents or no. The first time i did but not the second time. The first kid was but his younger brother wasn't. Right know i have 2 families but I'm only using my test family.  I want my main family to have more than one kid but if thats not possible...

@whackywhippet234 I have not been paying a lot of attention to that. I have had situations where I have had parents and their grown children all as my active sims, but other times when the kids come of age after the parents are already retired.

Same here, keep having babies (doing it the right way before you ask me) frustrating for sure, that you cannot 'recreate' the issue or see that everyone is having this struggle.

I tried the following scenario:

1. I retired all 4 sims

2. I created two new sims, a man and a woman

3. I did a romantic relationship with them and married them

4. I made them have two kids consecutively with try for baby

5. I raised the two boys that resulted until they were larger children

6. I aged one up and made playable with the option in the family painting.

7. Then I aged the other up the same way

8. They were not siblings.

I noticed something else important about them!

When I created the two brand new sim parents, they were automatically populated with roommate relationships with all the retired sims hanging out in the house.

However, the now adult children were totally different. They had NO relationship information populated except for mom and dad.

Somehow they are bypassing receiving a large chunk of initial relationship information.

I unfortunately did just retire three households thinking that it may have been a family glitch or the fact that I adopted my children to no avail. I'm now back at square one with all new families and have been having their own children vs adopting, using one bassinet instead of two. All of my siblings are still acquaintances. 

Same problem ☹️ I promoted one of the siblings to start a sibling rivalry relationship but the sibling wasn't listed on his contacts (but his mom/dad was listed) I tried to start a rivalry but the option for sibling rivalry wasn't there. After that, he listed his sibling on his contacts as 'Acquaintance'.

Comments: Issue has been ongoing since I started the game. I deleted the game once and start from the very beginning. Now there are about 4 siblings in the house but the issue is still there.  All the siblings can't recognize each other and of course there is no sibling rivalry story.

The latest thing I tried was moving my sims to a fresh device. I was playing on an iPhone and I moved to playing on an iPad fresh install (moved by logging in with same apple game center id). It did not help. It is unrelated to the local state of the device so you can stop having your customer support reps recommend this course of action.

I have 3 siblings, 2 boys and a girl all grown up. One of them is retired and not payable, ai have both other playable. I had never interacted between them before and started the rivalry option, but the siblings rivalry story didn't show up as option, and all of my siblings don't recognize themselves as siblings, none of them is adopted, all have same mother and father.

Same issue here, it's never worked. Siblings always show up as Acquaintances. Android Galaxy tablets for both me and my daughter. Our player IDs are (SalixCat Edit: Please do not include Player ID's)
