I’m glad to hear it’s being worked on because even with the most recent update last week, I’m still having this issue on my Samsung tablet.

Regarding the recent update, Sims and Create-a-Sim have returned to normal, but a Sim on the family portrait is still black. Also, a Sim on an icon is black.

I’m happy to report that after the update from the other day my sims are all back to normal!
However I had to delete my cache and restart my tablet before the fix took effect...did you try that already?

I have not, though I have just noticed that the family portrait and party icon are fine now.

After positive feedback from others I decided to check again as well. I'm glad to say my issues have been resolved as well and everything looks normal again.
