No bugs are usually things that break the game, this isn't that. Maybe a little mistake from the Sims team...
I did not unlock the career. All I did was click on "All stories", clicked on the career section and clicked on the "Rocket Science" career and it shows what we can unlock. I do not have access to it, but I can see the rewards and so can you.
Don't worry, the quest for this career should pop up on Thursday, at 10am (in your timezone) 🙂

You can unlock the career with a limited time quest. The first thing is to complete a quick chat with a sim (approx. 1 hr without cupcakes), then there is a 19 part quest which must be completed in 4 days. First three things are very quick, done at home, then you have to earn 650 coins. That's as far as I've got so far. Will know more in about 40 mins when I've earned enough.
Edit: part 5 - tap on a park bench and look at sky
part 6 - complete a Llamazoom van
Yeah...but I’m nowhere near finish tho, still stuck on one of the LlamaZooms 😢
Btw try not to collect your LlamaZoom rewards early cos we have to-do 5 LlamaZooms for this quest. Here is a complete list of the Rocket Science Career Quest (via TSMC FB/Discord):
@Fuzzernutter Hope you have now or soon, In U.K. quest started countdown 10am this morning as just got in and seen this and already 6 hours gone from countdown to start! List of what you have to do Above and real time issues with 8 hour tasks and lamaquest timings. You can double up yr sims to reduce from 8 to 4 hours but typical EA tight deadlines to fit around real life and disturbed sleep for a couple of nights! Oh well, as they say,”no pain, no gain”. Glad I saved my cakes up LOL! Happy playing all

I'm at task 9 and it's 3 h 48 m. Task 7 was also 3 h 48 m. With 2 cupcakes will take 1 h 51 m.

Yep guys and gals there’s a lot of multitasking for this one and probably for the next career they launch, was it a dance instructor at wellness centre?
Well this showed up too. Considering how flippin long it’s going to take, it might just be easier to buy it out right.

@katclawsx3 Lucky you that your store even shows up. I don't get any updates from the store unless I uninstall and reinstall the game.
I'm almost at teh point of uninstalling and quit playing. The new updates overall are not for the better. The game is no longer any fun. Spending hours and hours completing things!
@Fuzzernutter@BlueWizardRob@katclawsx3it took me forever to get the quest! Over and over again I kept taking a Sim to the Science center and nothing! Then after a very glitchy day I was just about to give up when a star showed up! The game gave me money, I guess for the inconvenience. LOL if that’s the case.... you do the math!
LOL @SaphireandSteel I need a very special dance center for my girls, girls, girls! I have a lot of girls and they should be lucky to get a dance center!
@JulesDarling Haz posted a list of how many hours this quest takes. EA want you to spend money to complete it or buy the heirloom from the store. If you just started you might not complete it. I'm really not enjoying this game anymore. I don't want to spend hours and hours and hours on the quest and I'm not spending 10 USD for one career when you can buy the sims 4 with EPs and will still wind up cheaper than this game and with slightly more to do.
