I'm glad to hear you both could scan for more ants now, thanks for coming back to share your feedback! I don't remember how this looks in-game right now, but I'll pass on your feedback to the team so they are aware this can be confusing, as well as what you think about the quest.

I spent SimCash to complete the first look for ants task early. Then when I saw that look for ants was not available, I spent even more SimCash to free up my other Sim. If there is a mandatory time window between tasks then early completion should not be an option.
I just bought another houseplant for $1500 because I thought maybe the Queen Juliana couldn’t be used again.
When that didn’t work, I came here. *sigh*
Several Simmers from Poland reported me issue with the step with ants and plants. Day 3 Step 5. First time - the interaction works. The second - is impossible to take. Even after those 2h. It could be a glitch.
I noticed that too. I waited 2 hours but the 2nd look for ants task was not made available. I went to bed and it was available the next day.
Update: One of those Simmer told me that it lasted more than 2h to investigate 2nd plant. Now - it works.
I totally agree. I spent hard earned cash only to find out that I need to wait the two hours anyway! Why is the stupid option available if the next action CANNOT BE completed right away. I’m annoyed to the nth degree and want my Simcash refunded! Hate the update!

i put put in a request for help from EA but really was only told to come here.
I’m trying to complete the quest for a 3rd playable sim. I am on the “search for ants” and I did it 1 of 2 times. It won’t give me the option to complete it a second time when I click on my houseplants.
Anyone else having this issue. I’ve added some screenshots to help. The same ones on my ticket I submitted.
There is a 2 hour cooldown.
We can see information about duration and cooldown before we start any task. It looks like this:

I tried to do the second part for many hours before I submitted a ticket for help through the game.
i finished the 1st about 5 in the afternoon my time and by the time I made my forum posts here around 1:30a.m. It still wasn’t letting me do it again.
I think it glitched and it gonna cause me not to complete this event.
im super bummed because I really was way ahead on the event until then.
