By using this method though, the retired Sim stays in the family portrait. The point here is that we were forced to create the Sim since we couldn't cancel. I too was curious and clicked it, but then I found that I couldn't go back and was also forced to create a new sim.
Please address this issue with the team, we need to be able to directly manage households/generations meaning we should be able to remove Sims from the current household whenever as well as deleting previous generations.

You'll have to ask a real life person to build a relationship with the sim you want to move out AFAIK :/

This question shouldn't be marked as "Solved" because the "solution" isn't a good one. When someone googles this issue, this post is the first result and they will think there's a way to do delete a Sim and there isn't.

This is actually really stupid. I was forced to add a second sim which I never wanted and now there's no way for me to get rid of it. Waiting for them to retire is extremely time consuming and not worth it. Why can't it be as simple as DELETING the sim?? Wow.

Why? Because then we wouldn't have to spend sim cash with which to add a third sim. 😉

People complaining about a free playable character that they can edit are just silly, however....

My one and ONLY issue with this game so far, and it’s a big one, is that I can’t take off friends/aquintances that I may have accidentally interacted with via parties. I got a couple of annoying looking characters as friends I REALLY DO NOT WANT and it’s not like I can edit others looks so at least let me be rude and unfriend them or SOMETHING but I’m locked in a friendship story with this ugly thing and it’s like...... This isn’t fun at all. It feels forced and sucks but when that gets fixed I’ll reward EA with some cash on me and my girls account for creating quality content. My thing is, you guys create a game built around customization and I can’t get rid of friends?.... not trying to pile up 1k aquitances

I too have the same problem. I was forced to create another sim which I dont really want to, but I find it helpful because both of these sims are working and earning coins much faster, I just dont use the second sim to interact alot. I will just wait for that sim to retire so I can get rid of it. 🙂

This is simple usability problem, I ACCIDENTALLY create it, so I need to remove it. This feature should be a launch feature. It's either stupid game designer or just lack of resource to develop the feature.

So I tried to restart the game cause unfortunately that's your only solution for us but it keeps syncing up to the original file so can you please just let me know whether or not you plan on fixing this problem so I can know whether or not to delete the app

It is very annoying that they programmed this game to be stuck with a character you can not delete. It hinders the game experience and is probably an easy fix for programmers. Why is this not a important issue?

Deleting Sims is such an important part of the game. I'm stuck with a Sim I don't want.

Hi!
Even though- it syncs your game, you can still start over and when you get asked which game you want to continue playing, don’t play the on saved in your iCloud! It’ll be the green button on the right of the screen! Just keep playing the game on your device, green button, on the left! Then back up your device to the iCloud, it’ll save the current Sims Mobile Game!
I have uninstalled/ reinstalled the Sims Mobile App 6 times as I wasn’t happy with the game.
I only wished it kept your game friends/ contacts on your account better, because I now can’t.get back, an old friend because I don’t remember, there code or name so I can’t read him!😩😩!

Oh! If, you don’t want an extra sim - DO NOT CLICK ON THE BUTTON!

I agree. This is really irritating. I shouldn’t be forced to play a sim I didn’t want until retirement. It’s a waste of time and game play.

I am really laughing out loud with this topic. Have you guys ever thought about edit the sims created by mistake? If you can’t control more than one sims what the sense of play? The game is based on legacy, you’re getting points for complete tasks, stories, going to parties... First everybody complains that they don’t have time enough to do everything. Then you have more sims and complain that you can’t delete or even control. What childish! I am sorry but this topic is really comedy. Get to a higher level and come back to let us know if you need another sim in your pretty houses.

Doesn't really matter in the end...ask mobile games are becoming is cash grabs... No really gameplay without having to spend a bit to get that boost you need to pay effectively in some way... But hey they gotta make a living...so why not charge for sim deletion then... If people want it so bad.

Can you please fix it so, we are able to delete in from the game and not retire nor do that because i got to curious so I made it, and it wouldn't let me out please fix this problem

I am married now on the game and I would like to get rid of the sim I created...as do others, and I think that if you have time to update...you could possibly add a feature where you can delete a sim. I mainly believe this should happen because I am having a hard time getting cash and I am not able to buy any and I would like my virtual husband to move in but I cannot let him.
So if possible we would all like a new “Delete Sim” feature. Unless it is not possible for our much beloved makers to create it...wouldn’t wanna stress you.
And thank all the creators for making the game itself possible-

I second this. For some reason a random user asked the sim I didn't want to move in with them so I was lucky. Didn't even ask and wasn't friends with them. So it's either asking people in parties/luck/knowing someone in real life and asking them for help with it.

If, like me, you made the mistake of clicking on the ‘Add Sim’ and then found out that you couldn’t delete him/her anymore, and now you’re looking for a way to delete that SIM to create a new one without him/her staying on the family portrait.
There’s NO WAY of deleting the SIM right now, but under ‘change appearance’ you CAN change the sex and the name and basically create the new character you prefer to play with, without losing any stats etc.
Just throwing it out there 🙂
