    Hello,

    Thanks for the help!
Both my children aged up after I reached level 16 and updated my game 🙂

Do you know the requirement for each time I can age up the baby? Mine has been a baby for several days and he won't age up at all. I've done a baby event twice and received a good upbringing trait twice, maybe it's a bug? No sign of growing up.

Usually it takes about a day for the baby to grow up. I’ve had this issue before and it’s nothing to worry about. It’s kind of like a cycle. So, let’s say you have a baby. It’s been a week since you’ve had him/her and him/her isn’t growing up. This bug happens to everyone, so if your baby isn’t growing up, your friend’s baby probably won’t grow up either. I know this because I was having trouble and so was my other two friends. It’s a bug, but it will eventually pass. You might have to wait a little but the baby will eventually grow up, you just need to wait for the bug to pass.

My first baby seemed to grow up really fast! My second one however won't. I think he is stuck lol. Even after doing events with him he is still not showing anything on his progress bar and level 1 all the time. I have done daily social events with this toddler and nothing happens. I'm up to date with the game and like level 20 or something. :/
  • Hi @alexagulea I am far from new at the game as I am at level 40 but I am new to being a Sim parent. I have no issues growing up the baby or the toddler but today after I did the second good grow up thing with my kid sim nothing happened. Do you know if they grow up to teens and if so do you know how or when? Sincerely Frustrated Sim Mom ♥️
  • @themummyof4 She grew up and now a whole different host of problems. I can’t even play with her. I am going to really honest LOL boy do we get involved with these Sims, anywhoo I was hoping to marry her to my other male Sim but now she just wanders around the house with bad clothes and no makeup! Frustrated in Sim Land 😉 Thank you for your response I had no idea what was going on and I read things that implied that there was a glitch.

@JulesDarling  Hi Jules.  Once they age into young adults they are still npc.  If you have an available slot open you can go to the family portrait and promote her into an active player.  Once you do that you can change her hair, clothes, etc.

The promote option is grayed out in my picture because I don't currently have any open slots to put her in.

  • Thank you so much! @rmw8855 I of course still have questions and I do apologize in advance. So my picture is grayed out just like yours is. I currently have three playable Sims and her , I do have that one slot that cost money to open is that what I need to do, pay for her to become playable?
    Again thank you! ♥️

@JulesDarling  No problem.  Ask away 8^)

You either need to pay to open up that last slot or move out one of your existing sims in order to open their slot.

Yes, you can either pay, or retire one of your playable Sims...
  • @rmw8855well that does open some options for me. I hit a retire a sim when we had that last update where the little boxes pop up and have yet to do it because I don’t want to see my sim around town ( not certain that happens ) but at least now I have options. I am not crazy about the kid thing. I loved it in Sims 2 but this isn’t so pleasant. My son and I played a two and a half year game on Sims 2 and that little bugger had a secret house with a creepy tombstone and he would marry my Sims to zombies or put random babies in my homes! I got him back but it took me forever to figure out how he was doing it! Bonding takes place in many ways. He is grown now but still plays Sims ( Sims 4 ) and we still have many bonding moments of our shared love of the game. I have one last thing about out epic game play, I knew he was mad at his dad because he build a wall around a Sim dad! Still a bugger that one!

  • @rmw8855 I bet everyone wonders how I got along before I found all of you! LOL I seriously cannot answer that! 🤫

yes, you sometimes do... I don't see all of mine around town though, and only for a bit...
  • @themummyof4 Oh that makes me so sad! I am now in an emotional pickle!  One idea is this : does anyone need a husband? I have up for bid the one and only Sam Winchester! He receives the most hipster stickers than any of my other Sims so if your gal is into hipsters then Sam is the guy for you! Hee Hee

  • @themummyof4 OMG I went ahead and paid to play and look what I got! LOL LOL LOL what in the world happened? Genie and Jon are cute but the will never woohoo ever again! No no no!

whahaha, it's the dreaded Llama Flu, mentioned in my book...fortunately, it's the Weebles Strain, usually cured by restarting your game. you know, close all apps then click Sims again... She should be there without any sign or side effects...
  • LOL @themummyof4 oh the fear, the dread that I had! Could I do something about her like take her to the Sim orthodontist? Ha Ha I did what you suggested and now she is a clone of Genie. Her name is Jeanie LOL

Glad it worked...one of Wiz's sims moved in, and the poor bloke had Llama Flu pink blob strain... this is him working as a doctor.... they had to roll back my game!

  • Hello there i may be able to solve why u can't retire

Your parents may not be able to retire because your not level 16. In order to retire you must be level 16+ because level 16 is when you unlock retirement.
  • I have a child sim in sims mobile that will not age to adult, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, tried forced stop and nothing works, any suggestions?

  • Submit a bug report.  A baby/child should get the birthday cake icon that you can click to age them up approximately once a day until they are an adult.  If you are not seeing that, contact tech support and submit a bug report.  I thought they had resolved the issue, but at one time this was a fairly common issue that they can help you solve.
