For some reason order matters and different items have different space requirements. You should be able to put it back in the same place but you might have to remove the items and replace them in the same order you did previously. (This often happens to me in the kitchen, but also happens in other rooms). I can place all but one of my counters and it says it is blocked. If I remove all counters and the rugs and fridge I can place the problematic counter first. All of the others then go back exactly where they were with no problem.
