Hi everyone,

Once you have reached a relationship level 6 with a Sim owned by another player who is not part of the household and who is not an elder, you should be able to ask them to move in. Your Sim should not be in an event at the moment, and you might need to interact with them a bit before the interaction to ask them to move in appears. Use some of the green interactions in the list for a bit, and see if that helps. Also, please, make sure to check the whole interactions list as the option might appear at the end of the list.

I’ve tried all interactions again and the move in option is still missing.

My player ID is 1003009013795 and the Sim I would like to move in is Jaiden Pierce.

I just thought of - and bought - the wedding arch tonight (and the two other wedding things needed) and got Jaiden in that way. The move in option on the interactions was still missing. But the wedding worked. Phew!

Another Sim I was planning on moving in was Isodora Lopez but she’s now become an elder, so reading your reply she’s now a no go anyway.

It hadn’t occurred to me that Brian Stafford is an elder. Embarrassingly, it’s not the first time I’ve mistaken the dark grey hair for black ☺️. I realise I may be the only one with that distinction, but would the devs/team please consider light grey hair for elders in the future? 💐 

I have had a similar issue for a week or more as well. After my sim has a level 8 relationship with a NPC or a playable character the option to move that sim in says that there are too many sims in my household. Married sims don't move in either. Currently have have three playable sims and two adult retired sims in my household. I have moved retired sims out to try to fix it but nothing changed. My player ID is 1003478101333. Right now I would like to have Agnes Love move in. She is at a level 10 relationship with my sim Sophie Riviera. Thanks!

If a Sim has dark grey hair then they are an elder and they can’t be moved in yet. I hope this changes.

I used the wedding stuff to get Jaiden in as the options were not there during friendly nor romantic tones.

hi I want my sims to get married, but the propose option won't show. also not the move in option. the other sim is not mine and doesn't have a blue diamond. Im in lvl 8 of storyline more than friends with benefits. I have all the purchases needed to marry (arch, rose fence, pillar). they also have a child. My player id is 1003019640216

My sim is called Eva Haar and I want her to marry Guy Carmine. I searched through the interaction menuu but the option is nowhere. also Itried doing all the interactions but it did not appear.

Hello, I am having this same problem. ☹️ I have a slot open, am level 9 with Olivia Santiago, she has black hair and is not hunched over, so I can see she is not an elder, but it still won't give me the option to move her in. Please help asap so she doesn't become an elder on me! Thank you! Player ID:  1003622308466  ***edit:  I've tried flirting with multiple NPCs and the move in option never appears, however, when I flirt with another players Sim, the move in option appears immediately. What seems to be happening is you have to marry an NPC before they can move in.. how about let's just be friends? No?

I can´t ask the NPC-Sim (Jana Bridges) to move in. The third slot is free.
The Friendship Story with my own Sim (Hannah Funkelstein) is Level 10 ending.

hi, my sim can't seem to get married. i have a sim with a level 8 romantic relationship (i also have one with a level 10 relationship status) but when i tap on the wedding arch the get married option isn't available. i can't unlock the ' a delightful proposal' quest. i have all the required items (wedding arch, etc.). but the propose event is missing or when i tap on the wedding arch only the 'imagine big day' action appears. i've also done all the troubleshoot stuff suggested.

@sdtabot yeah, the problem is the 'propose' event or option doesn't show up either. so my sim can't get engaged.

Why can not my sims  ask NPC Sims to "move in" ? This option does not seem to exist at all with my NPC Sims, no matter what age and level of relationship. For all other Sim players Sims, this option will be present (active or inactive depending on the relationship level).

I'm sad. The NPC Sim (Jana Bridges) became an old Sim tonight.
I saw it in the game this morning when I first logged in.
Here again a picture as it was with my first contribution.

But the problem persists. I can not ask any young NPC Sims to "move in" at all. This option is not present on my NPC Sims.

We need a way to control the ageing of NPCs that are involved in relationship stories. There should be some immunity. By the time you finish the story like I did like Isodora Lopez NPC she was an elder. The move in option never appeared after I got to Level 8.

Trying to to speak to them without being in a story is taking too long. Christian Grier NPC is now an elder so that’s another dead end. It’s very frustrating!
