I am new to the Sims Mobile, and there are many things that I am still not clear about, and retirement is one of them. I am currently level 16, and I have two Sims that have four traits. One of them has completed a career and working on a second career. Their hobbies are not maxed out yet.
Now my question is... what did she mean when one of the posters on here said to work on a fifth trait? Do I have to work on an imaginary trait or a hidden trait? How can I work on this fifth trait? I am quite confused about that one. Do I have to make my Sims maxed out on everything before they could retire?
I would very appreciate any clarification about this matter.
There is an additional trait, called good upbringing, but you don’t have to worry about it. Your new sims that you raise from babies will have it if you do social interactions with them as they grow.
As for retirement, the game will begin to suggest retirement as soon as you have enough experience with that sim to have earned an additional trait beyond 4. There isn’t actually another one you can earn.
In the following image, Shaun has earned all 4 of his traits (plus the bonus one that he started with because I raised him from a baby before I activated him). The next time he would earn one, I will start getting prompted that he is ready to retire.

In this image, Cody, who was activated today only has his bonus trait for being raised from a baby and his starting trait that I chose for him when I activated him.
