I started playing this week. I’ve played every version of Sims since the original, loved some versions, couldn’t get into others. I do like Sims Mobile so far. I can’t play desktop games any more due to a neck injury and have been missing my busy little Sims. This app gets me back into the Sims world again.
So far it seems similar to other app games - lots of clicking and waiting and checking back and ads - but I like the graphics (I play on iPad), I like the parties and having friends, and I like being able to boost careers with objects at work. The fact that clothing/furniture is so pricey means I’ve lost interest in that part of the game for now because I never spend money on in app purchases until I fully understand how the tokens etc work.
I wasted all my in-game resources in the beginning on cupcakes because there were just so many tokens and energy bars to learn and track, but instead of starting over I figured that just like real life sometimes you just need to work your ass off and get back on top of things, so my Sims had a boring day and a half of nothing but long work shifts.
I don’t like the daily push to add stuff to your house and I’m worried it’ll be like another game I played where you had to spend money to purchase larger storage so you could tidy up the area other players could view - the house in Sims Mobile.
I really hope there are seasonal and holiday items and events to keep things interesting.
My Sims got married this morning. I finally figured out all you need to do is click the wedding arch!
