Some helpful tips when playing Sims Mobile (updated for August 2018 patch!)

I somehow dismissed the the helpful advice. I didn’t mean to.

Can someone tell me why I cannot buy party items? I’m on level 29 I have all work places open that I see. I retired 2 sims and my house is large. I’m disapointed in how if you don’t read and search you really don’t have directions for the game. Also, I’m out of new hobbies. Where do you get new hobbies? Do you have to have baby’s or kids to host a party? It says I can host, but the items aren’t available to purchase? Thank you for any help
