Hi, thank you for reporting the issue. The team is aware of the issue and I’m hoping the best but it probably won’t get a solution before the event ends. 

I was able to finish the event by collecting Royal Treats enough to open several boxes in row. It does require extra luck since the rarity of the prizes differ and the game is more inclined to give the Throne. 🤞
