Only if the camera elevation were higher, this blueprint thing could work.
Also, rebuilding would be very inconvenient this time of version (9.3.0). The Sims block potential furniture placements, and the storage is clumped and unorganized.

I do agree with you , hope they fix it soon also an angle for blueprints can be a good suggestion for future updates.

I'm more of small rooms, although these are bigger than my usual 🙂 Here my current house (open the spoiler):

Changed the layout quite a few times, but this one I planned ahead, drew all the squares on piece of paper and drew a few plan on top of it.
I wanted a little room for some hobby items, still saving up and levelling for a kids room! The two beds in the one room I can switch out for one big bed (depending on the family situation).Also in a spoiler:
