I've opened around 12 -15 chests. I've gotten the max number mirrors and tables. I'm keep getting them though so they turn into tokens that I don't need. It's getting a little annoying. My goal is to get least one of each of the items.
I need 5 more items. The item I want the most are the lights. I got the bubble blower at around the 8th try. I got the sim cash prize so I was able to buy a bath tub. Now I'm going to save up for a 4th sim.
I like the event so far even though I keep getting mirrors and tables. The good thing about events is that I'm more active with them. Which means I earn mire simoleons.

I think someone above mentioned trying to open only one box a day to not get so many duplicates. That’s what I am trying after the tix conversion frustration yesterday and I noticed all my duplicates were happening when I opened boxes one right after another.
- argh I am late to join this event because lately I got final exam in my magister college. 10 day left.. hope I can finished the quest and open few boxes before the time out.
@mamabearboys That was me...is it working for you? My thought still is that EA wants us to stretch out the event and not rush through it. 😊
- Yes! I thought the kudos went to you Pa! So far, I opened one this morning and it wasn’t a duplicate- well it was more Izzy gems but at least those don’t get converted to green tix.
I have 81 coins but I am not opening another box until tomorrow so I will let you know! This makes so much sense though because when I was getting immediate repeats it was because the coins were burning a hole in my pocket right after finishing the events at the same time so I just would do a bunch of boxes at the same time. I am wondering if there is a time frame between all at once vs a whole day that would help as well.@mamabearboys Lol I know about them burning a hole in my pocket! That's what I was doing too. Then I got discouraged and said "Phooey, I'm not spending anymore coins until tomorrow." And it worked. Now I have at least one of everything so I just buy two boxes at a time. I still only have one tapestry but I wouldn't be able to hang up another one anyway because of the item limit so it's ok. 😊😉

- I really like this event, too. I think it's because of the variety of activities, and the theme truly is luxurious. It's been fun!
My only complaint is the infernal duplicates. I've been popping open those boxes as soon as I get enough coins, but I think I'll follow the advice here and open one a day.
I did get super-lucky today: a whole bunch of Sim Cash! I won't complain about that!- I was also thinking about whether it would be worthwhile to try to delay gratification and not open all at once. I've been staging the three 8-hour cool down events to end at the same time, so I end up with a lot of new coins at once. Which inevitably turn into more blasted drum tables and sofas that cost $469 to repair. Just get me the blower and lanterns already!
By the way is anyone getting duplicate lanterns? Supposedly we're allowed six, but I'm clearly not the only one without any.
- So I decided to experiment and results are inconclusive:
1) did a box yesterday morning and it was gems I think.
2) did a box yesterday evening and it was one of those little tables. A duplicate that is allowed. And not same thing as in the morning.
3) did 4 boxes together this morning. SimCash x 3 in a row. So that was a good triplicate but sorta backs Pa’s theory of not doing boxes back to back to back. Then 4th was another damn tapestry. But at least an allowable duplicate and not tix.- @mamabearboys SimCash 3x in a row???? I'll take it!!!
